Defensive Firearms Instruction

Serving southwest Virginia,middle and northeast Tennessee, and western North Carolina.

Gary Widner has taught firearms safety classes for the past 10 years.  Through his instruction numerous law abiding citizens have been able to legally obtain a Virginia Concealed Handgun Permit. We are also doing the Tennessee Handgun Carry Permit Classes in Gallatin, TN.

Brenda, Dwayne, Scott and Nikki are also very capable firearms instructors. They are trained by a NRA Training Counselor, which is, in my opinion, the best training available.

Virginia Concealed Carry classes are taught the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month at 9:30a.m. All other classes will be posted on this website or contact Gary to arrange a class that will meet your schedule or Brenda for the Tennessee classes. Virginia  Classes are held at Kettlefoot Gun Club in Bristol, Virginia (Exit 1 off of I-81).  Classes can be schedule to meet the needs of those who cannot attend a regularly scheduled class.

In the Concealed Carry class you will be taught how to safely handle, clean, and shoot a handgun. Unlike most other firearms safetly classes, about half of the instruction takes place on the shooting range.  After all, we believe that you cannot defend yourself and family if you cannot hit your target.

We also sell gift certificates. You can buy the gift of personal protection for a family member or friend.
